You can’t call yourself inclusive if you don’t show what sustainable and inclusive actions you take, especially in sustainable bridal fashion. In this first blog, our first report, we want to share what we have done so far, and where we are going in our commitment to sustainable bridal fashion. Because at A La Eve, we don’t just design dresses. We design decisions. All in service of creating an Eve for every body.
To begin with, sustainability starts with intention. Every design is handmade in the Netherlands, under fair and safe conditions. We keep things local, not just because it’s practical, but because it matters. Read more in Why Ethical Bridal Fashion Starts Close to Home.
Moreover, we power all our operations with 100% renewable energy. Over 90% of our logistics use low-emission transport. Additionally, customers can return every outfit through our reuse and recycling program. Each piece continues its story. These choices align with SDG 12.
“True beauty lies in simplicity, where nature and love intertwine.” – Sage
This is our first report on sustainable bridal fashion. We’re still small, so we focus our actions. However, impact doesn’t need to be loud to be real. Here’s what we’ve already done:
“Style isn’t just what I wear. It’s the story I tell.” – Emari
Looking ahead, we aim to source at least 25% of all fabrics sustainably by 2026, reinforcing our vision for sustainable bridal fashion. We are also helping our suppliers switch to clean energy—50% by 2025, 75% by 2026. These steps support SDG 13.
Furthermore, we will ensure that all returned garments are re-loved, refurbished, or responsibly recycled, contributing to SDG 12.
In addition to smarter sourcing, we plan to cut textile waste by 50% by 2027, compared to 2025. Our made-to-order system helps us only create what’s needed. By the end of 2026, all packaging will be recyclable, compostable, or made from recycled materials. These efforts further our role in SDG 12.
We want everyone to understand where materials come from. By 2027, we aim to track 100% of our core fabrics. Starting in 2026, we’ll publish annual updates on our sourcing. These steps show our commitment to open and responsible practices.
In 2026, we’ll expand our fit range to include more bodies and identities. After all, real inclusivity means designing for real people—not ideals. That’s why this work connects to SDG 10.
“My strength lies in the way I embrace my wild heart and gentle soul.” – Nova
To stay accountable, we use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to measure our progress. These goals guide us to stay clear, honest, and ambitious. In 2026, we’ll publish our first SDG Progress Report to show where we shine, and where we still need to grow. Learn more at sdgs.un.org/goals.
“We’re not here to fit in. We’re here to redesign what’s possible.” – Flare
