My Personal Journey into Inclusive Bridal and Ceremonial Fashion has everything to do with energy. Not the kind you burn through in boardrooms, but the kind that builds. Quietly. Intentionally. With purpose.
At some point in every career, you pause. You ask yourself what truly drives you. For me, it was never just about money or recognition. I’ve always been drawn to transformation of people, systems, and stories.
Over the years, I worked in industries focused on growth. At Wansink & Partner, I supported entrepreneurs. In the plastics industry, I worked on cleaner production and low-emission innovation and so many more focus points. However, beneath the surface, I found something deeper. In truth, real change always starts with people.
” True growth, whether personal or financial, always begins with connection, courage, and the willingness to change “

It wasn’t just about boosting profits. It was about helping people find joy again in their work. About teams daring to think differently. About leaders rediscovering the pride in creating something meaningful, sustainable, and future-proof.
Money was the visible result. But the invisible force was always human.
That realization kept pulling me forward: real change only happens when we honor people’s stories, dreams, and differences.
Throughout these years, I listened. I challenged. I shared my intuition and experience, not to dictate, but to help others grow in their own way. And in every conversation, whether with a CEO or a machine operator, I he same quiet hope: “I want to matter.”
” True impact is never measured in profits. Most other metrics are just window dressing hiding a lack of real change. “
Still, despite moments of connection, I saw the walls rise. In many organizations, profits still outranked people. Ego overpowered empathy. Diversity lived in mission statements, not in real decision-making.
Because real inclusion is often in industries slow to change fighting those systems wore me out. Therefore, I made a decision. I needed to create energy, not lose it.
Then I met Hanneke. Together, we imagined something new. A world where design honors identity, love, and freedom.
A La Eve is not just a label. Instead, it’s a mission. Therefore, we’re here to build an inclusive future. One that celebrates every version of femininity and every story of love.
For those who feel unseen in traditional bridalwear, we offer something new. This is inclusive bridal fashion. It’s built on softness, intention, and radical openness.
Although the bridal industry is changing, many still find it narrow. Rigid roles. One-size-fits-all beauty. Outdated expectations. But love isn’t one-size-fits-all. Likewise, neither is identity. Similarly, neither is ceremony.
“Your love story deserves a stage that honors your truth, not someone else’s expectations.”

We believe every person deserves to feel seen. Celebrated. Powerful. That’s why gender-neutral bridal fashion isn’t a trend. Rather, it’s the heart of what we do.
One of the reasons I joined A La Eve is because of what I’ve witnessed, again and again, in both my personal life and professional work. Discrimination doesn’t always scream; more often, it whispers. It hides in hiring practices, unconscious preferences, beauty standards, and yes even in fashion.
Sometimes it stems from pure fear. Other times, it’s simply accepted as “the way things are.” But that doesn’t make it harmless. And it certainly doesn’t make it right.
Through years of listening and observing, I’ve learned how deeply these patterns run. They shape how people feel seen, or worse, erased. How they’re celebrated or quietly dismissed. Often, without anyone noticing, norms exclude more than they include.
That’s why inclusive design isn’t just a trend for us. It’s a response. A loving protest. A promise. Every choice we make is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel recognized.
“Loud discrimination is mostly pure fear. But the worst version is silent.”
In a world divided by fear, I choose connection. Where society is obsessed with perfection, I choose authenticity. In an industry stuck in tradition, I choose freedom.
This is my way of making meaning. And this is why I joined A La Eve: to choose joy over exhaustion. Purpose over recognition. Because when you act from alignment, everything else flows.
So, let’s build something real. Together.
“Real beauty isn’t created by erasing differences, it’s born when we dare to embrace them.”
